Influenza Week

El lunes de la semana pasada comencé con una horrible gripa que conforme avanzaban las horas se fue convirtiendo en una pesadilla. Cuatro o cinco días con fiebre altísima, ningún antigripal hacía nada por mí, ojos llorosos, tos perruna y la nariz totalmente congestionada. Al tercer día de sentirme así de mal me di cuenta que no era cualquier gripa y consulté un médico. Influenza estacional fue el diagnóstico y me dieron algo de antivirales. Las molestias disminuyeron un poco pero el malestar me duró inclusive la noche de Navidad. Ha pasado una semana y aunque ya mis ánimos han regresado y un poco el hambre también aún me queda un poco de tos y 4 kilos menos.

Si alguien que lee este post tiene influenza solo les digo que no se desesperen es horrible y sientes que nunca te vas a curar pero después de una semana todo se ve con mejores ojos. Por cierto Feliz navidad lectores!

Last week Monday I started with a terrible flu and while the hours passed it was becoming a nightmare. Four or five days with high fever, medicine did nothing for me, watery eyes, barking cough and stuffy nose. On the third day of feeling so bad I realized that it wasn't simple cold and I consulted a doctor. Seasonal Influenza was the diagnosis and gave me some anti-virals. The discomfort decreased slightly but I did not feel ok even on Christmas Eve. A week has passed and even though my spirits are back and a little hungry too I still have a slight cough and 4 kilos less on me.

If anyone who reads this post has the flu (influenza) I just want yo tell you, not to despair, is horrible and you feel that you're never going to heal but after a week everything is in a better light. By the way Merry Christmas readers!
